After a slow start to the 2014 season, the Knight Riders went on a nine-game winning streak that culminated in a decisive victory over Kings XI Punjab. KKR managed to win their first game of the IPL 2015 before Bangalore ended their 10-game winning streak.
Most consecutive defeats Overall (D, Pune Warriors)
Pune Warriors India had a disastrous run in the IPL over the course of two seasons. The team ranked second last and last in both seasons, unable to find a recipe for success. Between both the 2012 and 2013 seasons, Pune ended up going on an eleven-match winless streak, which was the greatest in the tournament. Sourav Ganguly’s lacklustre performances did not help his team’s cause. The Warriors had a 0.363 win-loss ratio, winning 12 and losing 33 games.
The Delhi Daredevils renaissance was part of the Delhi franchise’s enormous underperformance. While the Delhi Capitals have turned their fortunes around, the Daredevils have set some unfavourable records. They failed to qualify for the playoffs for 6 straight seasons, finishing in the bottom two in four of them. Their lowest point came in the 2014 season, when they lost all three games in India before winning two more in the UAE. They finished the season with nine consecutive losses, extending their losing streak to the IPL 2015. They also lost their first two games of the following season.
