3 Min Read

Aryna Sabalenka has sparked engagement rumors after sharing a series of photos on social media in which she appears to be wearing a gold-and-diamond ring on the fourth finger of her left hand.

The world No. 1 posed in a Melbourne hotel room following the 2026 Australian Open, captioning the post “With a bow on top.” While the focus initially seemed to be her elegant white blouse and an Audemars Piguet watch reportedly worth around £220,000, fans quickly zeroed in on the ring beside her other jewelry. Several followers flooded the comments with questions, asking whether the Belarusian star had just gotten engaged.

Aryna Sabalenka has been dating Brazilian businessman Georgios Frangulis, CEO of the açaí brand Oakberry, since mid-2024. Frangulis, who is 10 years her senior and reportedly worth between £60 million and £80 million, has regularly accompanied her at tournaments over the past year.

The four-time Grand Slam champion has openly joked about wanting a proposal on multiple occasions. After winning the Brisbane International earlier this season, Sabalenka thanked her boyfriend during her trophy speech and quipped: “Hopefully soon I can call you something else. Let’s just put some extra pressure.” She made similar remarks at the US Open when another couple got engaged courtside, joking, “I looked at my boyfriend. No pressure!”

At the Australian Open,  Aryna Sabalenka also spoke candidly about her long-term future, saying she would ideally like to have children around age 32 and confirmed that she plans to return to the WTA Tour after giving birth.

While neither Sabalenka nor Frangulis has confirmed an engagement, the timing of the photos has fueled speculation, especially following her runner-up finish at the Australian Open, where she lost a three-set final to Elena Rybakina.

Aryna Sabalenka has since withdrawn from the Qatar TotalEnergies Open in Doha, citing a scheduling change, but is expected to return at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships next week- where questions about the mysterious ring are almost certain to follow.
