Ishan Kishan, who hails from the same state as former India captain MS Dhoni and captain of Jharkhand in domestic cricket, scored a fifty on his debut against England in the second T20I while opening the batting along with Rohit Sharma. He made 56 in 32 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes to his name.
After a dream debut for India against England in the 2nd T20I in Ahmedabad, Ishan Kishan joined Mumbai Indians (MI) camp ahead of IPL-14, slate to begin on April 9. The defending IPL champions tweeted on Sunday, welcoming him back to the squad. He played for India in two matches but a groin injury forced him to be out of the rest of the matches. There were a lot of expectations from Kishan in the third T20I but unfortunately, his stay in the middle did not last too long as he walked back to the dugout after scoring four runs off nine deliveries. The youngster was dismissed just before powerplay as India found themselves in a spot of bother at 24/3.
Ishan Kishan played some crucial role for his franchise Mumbai Indians in IPL and looking forward to perform for the team in the upcoming season.
