China clinched the top position at the ISSF World Cup 2025 in Buenos Aires. The nation claimed gold and silver medals in the 10m air pistol mixed team event here on Thursday to finish their campaign with five gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
Two Chinese pairs – Ma Qianke/Zhang Yifan and Yao Qianxun/Hu Kai – dominated the qualification rounds, securing the top two positions to guarantee an all-Chinese final.
In the trap mixed team final, Chinese Taipei’s Yang Kun-Pi and Liu Wan-Yu defeated Australia’s Mitchell Iles and Penny Smith 16-10 to win the gold. Diego Valeri and Erica Sessa of Italy earned the bronze.
China collected 11 medals overall to finish at the top of the standings.

India followed up at second place with eight medals (four gold, two silver, two bronze).
Saurabh Chaudhary and Suruchi Singh won the bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event a on Thursday as Indian shooters finished their campaign with eight medals.
They beat compatriots Manu Bhaker, a two-time Olympic medallist, and Ravinder Singh, 16-8 in the final to claim their spot on the podium.
Sift Kaur Samra (women’s 50m rifle 3 positions), Rudrankksh Patil (men’s 10m air rifle), Suruchi Singh (women’s 10m air pistol) and Vijayveer Sidhu (men’s 25m rapid fire pistol) accounted for India’s gold medals at the first ISSF World Cup of the year.

Meanwhile, Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics in pistol shooting events, drew a blank in the competition.
