ISU World Team Trophy 2025: An Epic Clash In Figure Skating Expected Between Japan And USA

3 Min Read

The ISU World Team Trophy 2025 is round the corner and the rivalry between Japan and the USA would yet again touch new heights.

Japan look ready to settle scores with the United States at the upcoming World Team Trophy which they hope to lift for the first time in eight years in Tokyo.

The ISU World Team Trophy 2025 will be held in Tokyo and host Japan will be aiming to turn the tables.

At the World championships in Boton last week, home skaters swept to three gold medals at the World championships – men’s (Ilia Malinin) and women’s singles (Alysa Liu) and ice dance (Madison Chock/Evan Bates).

Miura Riku/Kihara Ryuichi managed to pull one back for the Japanese in the pairs.

While the Americans were an indomitable force on their home turf, the Japanese, too, would like to take the advantage at their backyard.

The ISU World Team Trophy 2025 will be held from 17-20 April World Team Trophy while setting the tone for the team event at the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

At Beijing 2022, the US won gold with Japan taking home silver.
