Most Successful Countries At ISU World Team Trophy In Figure Skating

The ISU World Team Trophy in Figure Skating is a figure skating team competition held under the banner of International Skating Union. 

The World Team Trophy was held for the first time in Tokyo, Japan, from April 16 to 19, 2009. Traditionally, the competitive skating season had concluded with the World Championships.

Selected skaters from the six countries with the best results during the season compete in the disciplines of men’s singles, women’s singles, pair skating, and ice dance in a team format. Each country sends two men, two women, one pair, and one ice dance entry.

The participating countries in the inaugural event were (in descending order of finish) the United States, Canada, Japan, France, Russia, and China.

United States- 5

The Stars and Stripes have the most number of gold medals at five. They also have bagged two silver medals and a bronze medal ever since their participation at the event. Jeremy Abott, Madison Chock / Evan Bates and Ashley Wagner have won multiple golds for their country. 

Japan- 2

Japan is behind the US in the list of most titles at the ISU World Team Trophy in Figure Skating. They have a total of two gold medals.  They have a total of eight medals at the competition which also consists of one silver medal and five bronze medals. 

Russia- 1

Russia joins the elite list of countries who have at least one gold medal at the competition. Apart  from the one gold, they also have two silver medals and one bronze medal taking their total medal tally to four.
