Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has had his say on India’s Asia Cup squad which was announced on 8th August. The Indian team has already started practice for the Asia Cup which is starting from 27th of this month. Indian team has won so many series in between IPL and this Asia Cup and will be looking to lift this Asia Cup trophy as well.
Irfan Pathan made a tweet on Sunday, 21st August saying that other teams would be much relieved that Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah and death bowling specialist Harshal Patel isn’t in the squad for this competition. Harshal has done a lot of good work for India after IPL 2022 but missed out on the squad due to injury.
Harshal’s presence in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup is also in doubts as per some reports. A news came in on Friday that Pakistani bowler Shaheen Afridi won’t be playing in the Asia Cup as he also injured. After this news Waqar Younis tweeted that India would be relieved that the pacer is not in the Pakistani team. Irfan Pathan gave a perfect reply to Waqar Younis by tweeting this on Sunday.
