International Cricket Council recently posted a video on its official Twitter account a month ahead of World Test Championship Final. In the video, New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson speaks about his feelings and views a month prior to the WTC final.

Williamson quotes playing against Virat Kohli’s team as a fantastic Challenge. Notably, New Zealand and India have to lock horns in the final of the inaugural World Test Championships in Southampton.

“It’s really, really exciting to be involved in the final, obviously to win it would be that much better” PTI quoted Williamson’s statement in the video posted by ICC on its official Twitter handle.

PTI further quoted Williamson’s statement as “When we play against India, it has always been a fantastic challenge and so it is really exciting to be playing against them.” He further shared his experience about the journey of WTC.

“We saw the contests in the WTC has brought real excitement. The games were really tight such as in the India-Australia series and our series against Pakistan as well where you had to really fight hard to get the results, which is really great.”

In the Video, Hanuma Vihari shares his views regarding the World Test Championship final. Vihari says ” I am excited but I would want to be in that moment and not to get too much carried away by the importance of the situation,”

“But as a sportsman, to play for India in the final of inaugural World Test Championships is always a great feeling.” Vihari is in  England for a county stint with Warwickshire.

In later part of the video, New Zealand’s pacer Neil Wagner is seen, he shared his views regarding India’s pace attack. He said that ” India has a lot of quality fast bowlers who have done well in different conditions, they can swing (the ball) under overcast conditions but when the sun comes out it (wicket ) is flat and nothing happens.”

“(English) Conditions can change throughout and so I am not getting carried away too much, trying to control the controllable.”

It is to be noted that India and New Zealand are all set to play the Final of the World Test Championship scheduled from 18th June to 22 June. The majority of New Zealand players have reached the UK and are in the mandatory isolation period as they take on England for 2 test matches series.

Indian players on the other sides have reportedly started their Isolation in India and they will reach the UK by the 2nd of June. After reaching England, they’ll undergo another week of strict isolation there.
