Real Madrid is overwhelmed by their Captain Sergio Ramos indicating that he may move out from the club this year: “I have procured the option to settle on whatever choice I need.” says Ramos.

Ramos is out of agreement in less than a quarter of a year and has demanded that he is allowed to decide on this.

It follows on from a report a week ago in Marca that Real Madrid are worried that the star defender will leave the club this year.

As he is yet to acknowledge any restoration offers from the club there is a lot of vulnerability, particularly as Madrid are hoping to diminish their pay bill and with the player presently matured 35, there will be no long-term contracts handed out.

“I will perform at the highest level. If not, I stay at home. If not, it wouldn’t be worth it. That I’m fine with my age is no accident.” says Ramos.

Ramos has clocked up 720 senior appearances at club level – at both Sevilla and Madrid – since his debut in 2004, scoring 104 goals in that time.

At international level too he has broken multiple records and has scored 23 goals – a remarkable total for a defender – in 179 caps for the Spanish national team.
