England cricket team’s pacer James Anderson became the first-ever pace bowler to take 650 wickets in the Test cricket. Anderson completed this milestone on Monday, 13th June in an ongoing second Test match between England and New Zealand at Trent Bridge. On the fourth day of this second Test match, New Zealand was batting as they have to set the target for England, James Anderson took the wicket of skipper Tom Latham in the very first over of their innings. This was his 650th wicket in the Test cricket.

James Anderson clean bowled Tom Latham in the fifth ball of the first over just after he hit an exquisite boundary to him. Latham was named as the captain of the team for the second Test as Kane Williamson tested positive for the COVID-19 before this game. The opening batter thought that the ball wouldn’t be hitting the stumps and thus he left it. But it was a bad leave from the skipper which cost him his wicket.
