Jannik Sinner struggled with cramp to win the Vienna Open crown. However, it was his love life that stole the show and sent both the tennis and fashion worlds buzzing.
The world No. 2 and reigning Australian Open and Wimbledon champion battled past Germany’s Alexander Zverev in a gripping final, 3–6, 6–3, 7–5, to capture his fourth title of the season and continue a career-best year that has cemented his place among tennis’s elite. But it wasn’t just the tennis that had fans talking- it was what (and who) came after.
Jannik Sinner’s Hard-Fought Victory and a Soft Launch
After more than two hours of intense baseline exchanges, Sinner lifted the trophy in Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle with his trademark composure. During his post-match speech, the 23-year-old Italian thanked everyone in his inner circle- coaches, friends, family- and then, almost casually, dropped the line that made social media explode:
“Everyone here- with my family, my girlfriend, friends, and my whole team watching at home. Thank you so much for your support.”
Just like that, the famously private Sinner confirmed what many fans had suspected for months: he’s in a relationship with Danish model and influencer Laila Hasanovic.
Meet Laila Hasanovic
For those unfamiliar, Hasanovic, 24, is a Copenhagen-based model and fashion influencer with a polished, minimalist aesthetic and a growing international following. Previously linked to F1 driver Mick Schumacher, she had long kept her romantic life under wraps- until now.
Hasanovic was spotted several times this season in Sinner’s player box, including at the French Open and more recently throughout the Vienna tournament, where she sat alongside Sinner’s parents during the final- a subtle but unmistakable sign that this relationship is serious.
Unlike some of her modeling peers, Hasanovic has steered clear of the public drama that often surrounds celebrity dating speculation. Earlier this year, she even shut down rumors linking her to Danish tennis player Holger Rune, writing, “So I can’t even watch a game in my hometown without people starting dating rumors? Come on, guys.”
Brooks Nader, the Red Herring
Interestingly, during this year’s US Open, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Brooks Nader hinted on social media that she had been spending time with both Sinner and world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz. The tennis world quickly began speculating- but sharp-eyed fans noticed that Sinner was already linked to Hasanovic, who had quietly been attending his matches long before.
It now appears Nader’s posts were more publicity play than reality, as Sinner and Hasanovic’s connection predates the US Open entirely.
A Year of Triumphs and Transitions
Jannik Sinner’s Vienna victory continues a remarkable season for the Italian, who now holds four titles in 2025- including two Grand Slams- and remains one of the most consistent players on tour. The match also marked the final stretch of his partnership with coach Darren Cahill, who has announced he’ll step away from full-time coaching to spend more time with family.
In his speech, Sinner thanked his entire team, switching to English for Cahill’s benefit:
“Thank you so much for the support, the work you put in, and the effort to understand me. At times it’s not easy, but I really appreciate it.”
It was a moment that summed up what makes Sinner so compelling- humble, disciplined, and quietly emotional when it matters.

From Court to Couple Goals
The moment Hasanovic appeared beside Sinner’s parents during the final was all tennis Twitter needed to officially lose it. “FINALLY,” one fan posted. “This is the softest hard launch in history,” wrote another.
The couple’s chemistry seems refreshingly authentic — less tabloid spectacle, more understated European romance. Sinner, who has always preferred to let his racquet do the talking, now seems comfortable letting the world see a little more of his personal life.
Next Stop: Paris and Turin
Sinner now heads to the Paris Masters, followed by the ATP Finals in Turin, where he’ll once again represent Italy in front of home fans. With his form, focus, and newfound happiness off the court, the outlook couldn’t be brighter.
Because sometimes, the best victories happen both on and off the court.
