Now in its 71st edition, the Janusz Kusocinski Memorial is one of Europe’s longest-running annual athletics meets and is labelled as a Silver-level meet in the World Athletics Continental Tour.

Interestingly, the meet record in men’s javelin throw (91.50m) at the Janusz Kusociński Memorial belongs to Czechia’s Jan Zelezny who is Neeraj Chopra’s current coach.

The Indian recently hit the headlines on breaching the long-awaited 90m mark ((90.23) in Doha Diamond League last week. However, he finished second to German Julian Weber (91.06m) in that meet.

As both the athletes look to continue their momentum, Janusz Kusocinski Memorial will provide another platform for yet another blockbuster clash .
