The ICC (International Cricket Council) has announced Jasprit Bumrah as a nominee for the Men’s Player of the Month for November 2024 awards. The star Indian fast bowler is up against Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and South Africa’s Marco Jansen for the prestigious ICC award.
Jasprit Bumrah displayed a dominant performance in the first Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Perth where he took eight fiery wickets. He was also named the Player of the Match for his superb spells.
The stand-in Indian skipper bowled a phenomenal spell of 5-30 in the first innings ensuring India took a 46-run lead.
Jasprit Bumrah then returned to pick 3-42 in the second, paving way for India’s 295-run comprehensive victory against Australia and keeping their hopes alive of a spot in next year’s ICC World Test Championship Final.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s Haris Rauf played a key role in the nation’s historic ODI series win in Australia – their first in 22 years.
The right-arm quick bowler took an imposing three-wicket haul in Melbourne to start off the campaign. He went on to improve his figures in the second ODI where the 31-year-old clinched a crucial five-wicket haul to level the series.
He completed the campaign with two scalps in the final match finishing the series as the top wicket-taker with 10 scalps at an economy of just five, guiding Pakistan to a 2-1 series win.

The momentum continued for Rauf in the subsequent T20I series, as he notched up five wickets, including an impressive four-fer in the second T20I. He finished the month with three more wickets in as many ODIs against Zimbabwe, amassing 18 dismissals across formats in November.
Marco Jensen, meanwhile, had a memorable November, too. The 24-year-old showcased his all-round brilliance across all formats during the month.
In the T20I series against India, Jansen picked up a wicket in each of the first three matches and also shone as a batter with a 17-ball-54 in the third T20I and an unbeaten 29 in the fourth.

Jansen’s most impressive performance came in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Durban where he registered his career-best match figures of 11/86, while decimating the visitors.
In the second Test against Sri Lanka, he took a seven-wicket haul with Sri Lanka getting all-out for just 42 in the first innings. He rounded it off with four more dismissals in the second innings, steering South Africa to a commanding 233-run victory.
Meanwhile, England’s veteran opener Danii Vyatt, South Africa’s in-form all-rounder Nadine de Klerk and Bangladeshi batter Sharmin Akhter earned the nomination in the Women’s ICC Player of the Month for November 2024 award.
