Joao Felix joins Al-Nassr in £43.7m deal as he links up with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi switch
Joao Felix is swapping Stamford Bridge for the Saudi sands. It’s official. Al-Nassr have agreed a deal worth up to £43.7 million to sign the 25-year-old Portuguese forward from Chelsea.
Felix has already been cleared to travel to Riyadh for his medical, where he’s set to join forces with Cristiano Ronaldo. From Euro 2016 to the Saudi Pro League, the Portugal link-up is getting a reboot.
Chelsea basically break even on Felix
Quick recap. Chelsea paid £45 million to bring Felix in permanently from Atletico Madrid last summer after a lukewarm loan spell. And just to keep things confusing, they loaned him to AC Milan six months later for a tidy £5 million fee.

Now they’re pocketing £43.7 million from Al-Nassr, meaning they’ve just about broken even. Sort of. Maybe. Ask an accountant.
Stamford Bridge turns into a summer clearance sale
Felix isn’t the only one on the departure board. Chelsea have been flipping players like it’s Football Manager. Goalkeepers Djordje Petrovic and Kepa Arrizabalaga? Sold. Noni Madueke? Also sold. They’ve already raised around £130 million from outgoings.
Still likely to be sold before the window closes:
Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Renato Veiga, Armando Broja.
And yet, the spending continues
Despite offloading half the squad, Chelsea are still making it rain. They’ve already spent £212 million this summer on names like: Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro. And there’s still interest brewing in Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato. Because clearly, restraint isn’t in the Chelsea dictionary.
UEFA are not amused

Here’s the fine print. UEFA fined Chelsea £27 million last season and slapped them with a warning to end the summer with a positive transfer balance. If they don’t, the consequences could get messy, including not being allowed to register new signings for the Champions League.
So while the board’s playing Monopoly, UEFA’s watching with a rulebook and a red card in hand.
Bottom line
Joao Felix is heading to Al-Nassr to link up with Ronaldo. Chelsea are selling, buying, and confusing everyone in between. And UEFA are standing by with a calculator and a warning letter. Just another calm, quiet summer in West London.
