Jofra Archer will undergo surgery for an injured elbow on Friday. England and Wales cricket board however are yet to put a timeline on his return to international cricket.
The English fast bowler had recently recovered from the same injury however he had injured himself once again in a county match. This was Jofra’s same injury that made him lose the IPL this year.
“Jofra has been reviewed by a medical consultant in respect of his right elbow soreness,
He will now proceed to surgery tomorrow.” ECB said in their statement through Twitter.
He got injured again during his comeback game for Sussex against Kent in the county championship where he was only able to bowl five overs.
While his return is not fixed Archer’s participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup is not yet fixed. The England cricket team would hope that their lethal fast bowler would get well soon and come back to the side much stronger.
