John Cena’s Last WWE Run Continues with a Showdown Against Randy Orton

John Cena’s next WWE match will be at WWE Backlash 2025, where he will face his old rival Randy Orton.

John Cena made history at WrestleMania 41 when he defeated Cody Rhodes to win his 17th WWE Championship. The “Last Real Champion” had promised to end professional wrestling, and now he is ready for his next big match.

WWE Backlash 2025 will be the next Premium Live Event after WrestleMania 41. In the recent SmackDown, a major championship match was announced for the event, where John Cena will defend his title against Randy Orton, who attacked Cena with an RKO on both RAW and SmackDown. This match marks the start of WWE’s new season.

Cena has only 26 appearances left in his last WWE run, and fans are eagerly waiting to know when he will appear next and start preparing for his match against Randy Orton.

According to WWE’s official page, John Cena will appear next on May 9 during the final edition of SmackDown before Backlash 2025 at the Nutter Center in Dayton. He is not scheduled to appear on any other weekly shows until then.

Last week’s RAW caused a lot of talk about John Cena and Randy Orton. The Viper took Cena down with a brutal RKO. This led to rumors that a match between the two at Backlash 2025 was planned.

WWE recently made it official. On SmackDown, John Cena challenged Randy Orton to face him in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. However, it was only recently that the official statement was made.

WWE released the official match poster on Instagram, and this is going to be an exciting match, as Orton will be fighting for his 15th world championship.

Fans are upset that Cena’s WWE career is coming to an end. However, they are excited to see what he has planned for them in his last 26 matches. Will he retire with the Undisputed WWE Championship? Only time will tell.
