UFC Middleweight Champion Khamzat Chimaev has taken another big step in his career by joining Nigma Galaxy as the organisation’s latest brand ambassador. His move connects one of the toughest fighters in the world with one of the most active esports groups in the region.
Chimaev is already a national hero in the UAE after becoming the first fighter from the country to win a UFC title. When he won the Middleweight Championship in August 2025, he celebrated by lifting the UAE flag, a moment that made headlines across the region. Soon after, he was honoured by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Earlier this year, he also received UAE citizenship, something he has spoken about with pride many times.
Now, with his new role at Nigma Galaxy, Chimaev plans to bring his mindset and work ethic into esports. The organisation says he will help them grow programmes that focus on discipline, learning and performance.
Helping Young Gamers Build Strong Habits
As part of the partnership, Chimaev will take the lead in Nigma Galaxy Academy’s new training and educational activities. The academy will introduce athlete-style lessons built around his strengths. These will cover topics like mental preparation, discipline, consistency and how to control pressure while competing.
The academy will also work on new opportunities for young esports players, including structured growth paths, mentoring sessions and special events where new talent can showcase their skills. Players who stand out may even get their own ambassadorship offers in the future.
A Shared Goal To Inspire The Next Generation
Nigma Galaxy co-founder Mohamed Morad said the partnership reflects the UAE’s growing ambition in both sport and esports. He explained that Chimaev’s values match perfectly with the organisation’s goals, especially his courage, discipline and drive to win.
Chimaev also spoke warmly about the move. He said he is proud to represent the UAE in every part of his life and wants to inspire others through this new role. He added that he has always enjoyed gaming and believes the same mental strength he uses in the octagon can help future esports champions.
A Boost For The Region’s Gaming Growth
This partnership also fits well with the UAE’s wider goals for the gaming sector. The region has launched several initiatives in recent years, such as Dubai’s Programme for Gaming 2033 and the National Gaming and Esports Strategy. These programmes aim to support new talent, attract global organisations and build a strong esports ecosystem.
Chimaev joining Nigma Galaxy adds even more energy to that movement. It brings traditional sports and esports together in a way that is fresh and exciting for young people who want to explore competitive gaming.
