The format of the Khelo India Beach Games is similar to that of its other siblings. Medals earned by individual athletes or teams will contribute to the overall medal tally of their respective state or Union Territory (UT). The state or UT that top the medal charts at the end win the team championship.

The KIBG 2025 will be the third Khelo India event of the year after the Winter Games and recently concluded Youth Games.
