Khelo India Para Games 2025 New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Tops Medal Tally

The Khelo India Para Games 2025 is underway with top athletes from the country showcasing their grit and determination. Events are being held in the Indian national capital of New Delhi.

The second edition of the multi-sport para event commenced on March 22 and will be held over a week before culminating on March 25.

The competition is held under Government of India’s Khelo India initiative to nurture budding talents at the grassroot level.

Over 1,300 para-athletes from various states and Union Territories are taking part at the Khelo India Para Games 2025.

Khelo India Para Games 2025: Featuring Sports and Events 

The Games will feature six sports which are as follows:

  • Archery
  • Athletics
  • Badminton
  • Powerlifting
  • Shooting
  • Table tennis

So far, Tamil Nadu top the Khelo India Para Games 2025 medal tally with 15 gold, nine silver and 12 bronze medals. Haryana are second on the medal table with 11 gold, 12 silver and 14 bronze.

The first edition of the Khelo India Para Games was also held in New Delhi in December 2023 in which Haryana topped the medal tally with 40 gold, 39 silver and 26 bronze. Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu finished second and third, respectively.

In 2025, the Khelo India Para Games will be the second national event organised by the Sports Authority of India after the Khelo India Winter Games.
