Maharashtra continue to dominate the Khelo India Youth Games as the defending champions crossed the 100 mark in the medal tally, The statehas secured 120 medals including 46 gold and 38 silver.
Asmita Dhone set a new Khelo India Youth Games record in the girls’ 49 kg weight category for Maharashtra. She created new records in clean and jerk (95 kg )and overall (170 kg), winning the gold medal creating new milestones. Sairaj Pardeshi broke three youth national records on the way to winning the 81kg gold in Rajgir.
Janhavi Hirudkar from Nagpur won gold medal in the 1500m race.
Rajasthan is in the second position with 44 medals, including 20 gold and 9 silver. With all-round performances, Haryana surged to third position, while Karnataka to fourth. Haryana has 57 medals in its kitty, including 17 gold and 13 silver.
The seventh edition of the Khelo India Youth Games that kicked-off on May 4, 2025 will conclude on May 15 with Maharashtra poised to win the overall championship.
Defending champions Maharashtra are the most successful unit with four overall Khelo India Youth Games championships.
