The competitive Kabaddi rounds got underway today at the SVSP Sports Complex with a total of four games. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya University (ABVVU), Bilaspur’s first league game of the women’s category at Greater Noida’s Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Indoor Sports Complex ended in a 28-41 loss to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind.

In the early going of the preliminary round match, Sanju Devi played tirelessly for ABVVU, but their failure to execute the overall match plan prevented them from snatching a victory. However, ABVVU’s opponents from Jind altered their plan of attack to stop Sanju Devi, and they were successful because both teams were tied with three minutes remaining. The Jind squad changed tactics at this critical moment to tighten their control of the game and sped to a 41-28 victory.
