Indian opening batter KL Rahul has issued a statement on his health and fitness ahead of the Asia Cup. KL Rahul provided this update on his health on his official social media. Indian batter could be seen in the pitch soon as per his latest statement on social media.
KL Rahul had an amazing season of IPL as he was the second most top scorer this year, just behind English batter Jos Buttler. After that he was named captain for the South Africa’s series. But ahead of that, KL sustained a groin injury. Indian cricket team opener then went to Germany for his surgery. He had a surgery in June and it was successful (as he himself reported via social media). Before the West Indies series, KL Rahul was tested positive for COVID-19 and didn’t travel to Trinidad.
“I was nearing a return to full fitness, I tested positive for COVID – 19. I aim to recover as quickly as possible, and be available for selection as soon as I can. To represent the national team is the highest honour, and I cannot wait to get out there back in blue,” KL Rahul posted on his Twitter handle on Saturday.
