Indian cricket team will play a 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in the month of August this year. Indian squad is currently at West Indies’ tour to play the three-match ODI series and five-match T20I series against them. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan will be seen captaining the team on 22nd July in the first ODI which will be played at Queen’s Park Oval.

After this short tour of West Indies, Indian team will be heading to Zimbabwe for the this 3 ODIs. In this ODI series against Zimbabwe, Indian opening batter KL Rahul is likely to lead the side. KL Rahul was also given a chance to captain India in the 5-match T20I series against South Africa which was played in the month of June. But unfortunately KL Rahul got injured before the start of the series and Rishabh Pant was handed over the role.

KL Rahul is back in the squad in this West Indies’ tour and have also travelled along with the squad. BCCI is also likely to include Virat Kohli in the squad going to Zimbabwe as the selectors want to give some game time to Virat Kohli so that he can regain his form and score some runs.
