Kuldeep Yadav Released From India’s T20I Squad In Australia To Prepare For South Africa Test Series

Left-arm wristspinner Kuldeep Yadav has officially been released from the Indian T20I squad touring Australia to head back home and start preparing for the Test series against South Africa, starting on November 14 in Kolkata.

According to a statement from the BCCI, the release came following a request from the Indian team management. Kuldeep had featured in one of the three ODIs and the first two T20Is of the Australia series but was rested for the third T20I in Hobart, where Washington Sundar replaced him.

Kuldeep Yadav Joins India A Squad for South Africa A Series

Upon his return, Kuldeep Yadav has been added to the India A squad for the second four-day match against South Africa A, starting November 6 at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

India A won the first game of the series, courtesy a fine 90-run innings from Rishabh Pant, who led the team successfully in a chase of 275 runs.

BCCI Confirms Kuldeep’s Inclusion in India A Setup

BCCI confirmed the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in the India A team as a means to acclimatize him into longer formats of the game with the South Africa Tests in mind. This strategical move underlines India’s intention to work on their bowling attack in preparation for the red-ball challenge.
