A Dream Debut For Endrick With Real Madrid
Endrick has signed a six-year contract with the 15-time European champions and already looks to be on the way to becoming a world star for years to come.
Brazilian forward Endrick proved his worth in what became a dream debut for him in La Liga with Real Madrid. The young footballing talent moved to Real Madrid from Palmeiras at a whopping €72m; he did not disappoint the buyers.
The Read Madrid debutant scored a thrilling last-minute goal to hand a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. With this goal, Endrick became Real’s youngest ever foreign scorer in La Liga, aged 18 years and 35 days.
This win meant that the reigning league champions registered their first win of the season and now has four points from two matches on the La Liga points table.
After a goalless first half, Madrid broke the impasse within five minutes of the restart, as Federico Valverde Valverde sent an imposing 25-yard free-kick through the Valladolid wall and beyond goalkeeper Karl Hein.
The defending LaLiga champion had to wait until the 88th minute to establish a buffer zone with substitute Brahim Diaz latching on to Eder Militao’s long pass before finding the net.
The 18-year-old entered the contest in the 86th-minute as substitute and added to the scoreline late when he rounded off a swift counter in the sixth minute of the stoppage-time. 10 minutes into the field, the youngster announced himself to the crowd at Santiago Bernabeu with maiden goal in the Spanish league.
Endrick: Making Dream Into Reality
The Brazilian did not hide his joy after scoring in his official debut for Madrid. After recording the history, he called the moment “a dream” that he is “making a reality.”
“I’m very happy. It’s a dream coming true. I had already played at the Bernabéu with the Brazilian national team and managed to score, but it wasn’t with Real Madrid. Today was my official debut, and I also debuted in La Liga,” he told the club’s media.
The emerging footballing star said that he is here to provide hard work latent to the team and his coach Carlo Ancelotti has his back. He wants to prove his talent to deserve more minutes on the field.
“I’ve kept working. I will make mistakes, but I will also get things right. I’m a new guy, I have a lot to learn, but I’m very happy. Everyone is supporting me, and I keep working and waiting for my moment. I trust the coach a lot, and I’ll wait,” he stated.
