Starting in the third position, Norris took the lead of the race after Oscar Piastri got a 10-second penalty for a safety car rule violation, costing him the chance to win at a crucial point in time. He served the penalty during his last pit stop, earning Lando Norris a well-deserved victory at his home, in Silverstone 2025.

Norris was obviously very happy and emotional after the race. He said on the radio, “It’s beautiful. Everything I dreamed of, I guess. Everything I’ve ever wanted to achieve. Apart from a championship, I think this is as good as it gets in terms of feelings and in terms of achievement, being proud, all of it. This is where it all started for me, and now thankfully I’ve been able to have my go.”

This win at Silverstone 2025 marks the fourth win of the season for Lando Norris and his eighth career win in F1.
