Since the Inaugural Season of Indian Premiere League, We have been witnessing some brilliant batting performances from some of the cleanest strikers of the ball. The very first century of the IPL history was scored by the Brendon McCullum for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008. Since the very first IPL tournament, since then 62 centuries have been scored by 36 no of batsman.

In a tournament Like IPL, some batsman can completely take the game in the favor of their respective teams if they get into their rhythm. Here are some of the players who smashed record-breaking 100s in IPL History :

Chris Gayle

The Universe Boss  holds the record for smashing the fastest hundred in a game against Pune Warriors in 2013, Gayle played a blistering knock of 175 runs off 66 balls. Gayle hit 17 sixes and 13 fours in his memorable innings. The left-hander ran to a three-figure mark in only 30 balls during his superb knock. RCB posted a huge total of 263/5 in 20 overs with the help of Gayle’s century.

Yusuf Pathan

He smacked a ton in only 37 balls against Mumbai Indians in 2010, which was the fastest century at that time. Rajasthan Royals were chasing a big target of 213 runs in this game but Yusuf’s Century went in vain as RR lost the match by 4 Runs.


David Miller

“Killer Miller” scored one of the fastest centuries against Royal Challengers Bangalore In 2013. He scored 101 runs in just 38 balls. His team KXIP chased a score of 191 in 18 overs itself and won by six wickets.

Adam Gilchrist

As part of the Deccan Chargers, the veteran scored a ton in only 42 deliveries against the Mumbai Indians in the 2008 edition of Indian Premiere League. He scored 109 runs, including 10 sixes and 9 fours and went on to win the game for team DC.

 

Ab De Villiers

“Mr. 360” AB de Villers made 129 runs in just 43 balls. The century included 12 sixes and ten fours in a match against Gujarat Lions which helped RCB win the Game with an astonishing strike rate of over 248.
