List of Batters with Century for Canada in T20I Cricket

Yuvraj Samra, the 19-year-old Canadian opener, became only the fourth batter to score a T20I century for Canada. The left accomplished this feat while playing against New Zealand in the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Yuvraj looked in complete control of his innings during which he broke several record including that of Aaron Jones for the highest score by a batter from an associate nation in the history of the T20 World Cup.

The latest entrant in the list of batters to score at least one century for Canada in T20I format of the game, Yuvraj Samra, scored a memorable century against New Zealand and helped his team post a challenging total of 173 runs on the board. Yuvraj scored a total of 110 runs off 65 balls, which included 11 fours and 6 sixes, and got the New Zealand bowlers under pressure, who were visibly taken aback by this kind of hitting from the bat of a 19-year-old batter.

Yuvraj also became the first batter to score a century for Canada in the history of the Men’s T20 World Cup

The third batter to score a century in T20I cricket for Canada happens to be Matthew Spoors, who played an innings of unbeaten 108 runs off just 66 balls against Philipines in 2022 and succeeded in hitting three sixes and 14 fours. Spoors helped his team post a total of 216/1, which it ended up winning by a huge margin of 118 runs.

Aaron Johnson also finds himself in the list of batters with century for Canada in the shortest international format, having done it twice at this level of the game. Johnson scored his maiden T20I century against Oman, where he accumulated 109 unbeaten runs to take his team to a total of 191/2, a game which Canada won by a close margin of one run. Johnson’s innings included nine fours and eight sixes.

Rayyan Pathan was the first batter to score a century for Canada in T20I cricket. He played an innings of 107 not out off 62 balls, which included nine fours and six sixes against Panama and took the team to a score of 245 for the loss of one wicket, a game with Canada registering a massive win by a margin of 208 runs.

To conclude, it is safe to say that Canada is taking giant strides in T20I cricket, as evidenced in the ongoing T20 World Cup, and will pose a challenge to big teams in the future.
