The Indian Sports Calendar 2026 is packed with exciting events across all fields. The country is set to host some of the major sports events in the upcoming year even as fans are anticipating an action packed season.
Marquee events across various events including cricket, badminton, hockey and tennis are set to enthrall fans.
January gets off with the Women’s Premier League, the India Open badminton Super 750 in New Delhi, the Mumbai Marathon and the Hockey India League in Chennai, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar.
In February, India hosts the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup across multiple venues.
The most-awaited Indian Premier League will begin on March 26 running through the end of May.
The Asian Weightlifting Championships 2026 will be held in Ahmedabad in April. It will be the second time that India will host the continental weightlifting meet and the first since 1982.
New Delhi hosts the BWF World Championships, one of badminton’s most prestigious tournaments, in August.
