Liverpool Eye Lautaro Martinez Transfer: Report
Liverpool are already making big plans for the next season, and one name has now entered the spotlight – Lautaro Martinez. According to recent reports, Alexis Mac Allister has personally asked the club to try and sign his Argentina teammate in the upcoming summer window.
Here’s all you need to know about this possible transfer – and why it could be huge for the Reds.
As reported by El Crack Deportivo (via Anfield Watch), Mac Allister wants to reunite with Lautaro Martinez at the club level. The two players have built a strong connection while playing for Argentina’s national team. They understand each other’s game well and have shared several successes in international football.
Now, Mac Allister reportedly believes Lautaro can solve Liverpool’s striker issues – and he’s urged the board to act.
Liverpool are expected to sign a new forward this summer. Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota are both facing uncertain futures at the club.
At the same time, Liverpool are being linked to several other attackers like Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, and Jonathan David. But Lautaro Martinez stands out, especially with his strong international track record and goal-scoring form.
Lautaro Martinez is having another top season. The Inter Milan captain has already scored 21 goals this campaign and 8 in the UEFA Champions League, helping Inter reach the semi-finals.
However, Inter will not let him go easily. Reports suggest they value Lautaro at around €100 million, which would make him a record signing if Liverpool go ahead with the deal.
