League of Legends’ biggest mid-year event, MSI 2025 (Mid-Season Invitational), is starting from 27 June 2025. This time, the event will be held in Vancouver, Canada. This will be the second international tournament of the year, the first was LoL First Stand 2025, which took place in March.
A total of 10 teams will take part in this tournament 2 teams from each region have qualified:
- LCK (Korea)
- LPL (China)
- LEC (Europe)
- LTA (Americas)
- LCP (Pacific)
MSI 2025 Play-In Stage – Which Teams Will Play?
A total of 4 teams will play in the Play-In Stage. Only the top 2 teams will advance to the Bracket Stage.
These matches will be in the best-of-5 format and the GSL system will be followed.

- Bilibili Gaming – LPL Split 2 runners-up
- G2 Esports – LEC Spring runners-up
- GAM Esports – LCP Mid-Season runners-up
- FURIA – LTA South Split 2 champion
MSI 2025 Bracket Stage – Which Teams Have Direct Entry?
A total of 6 teams will play directly in the Bracket Stage. They will not have to play the Play-In round.
These slots are for the teams that are at the top of their region. 2 teams qualified from LCK, as Hanwha Life Esports won the First Stand, so LCK got an extra slot.

- Gen.G Esports – LCK Road to MSI champion
- T1 – LCK Road to MSI runners-up
- Anyone’s Legend – LPL Split 2 champion
- KOI – LEC Spring champion
- CTBC Flying Oyster – LCP Mid-Season champion
- FlyQuest – LTA North Split 2 champion
When will MSI 2025 start and when will it be final?
The tournament will start from 27 June 2025 and the Grand Final will be held on 12 July 2025. During the entire event, the world’s best teams will play against each other.
Special Note:
The team that wins MSI 2025 will get a direct slot for Worlds 2025. But that team must also reach the Summer Playoffs or Split 3 of its region.
And the region that remains second-best will also get an extra spot for Worlds 2025.
