London Marathon 2025: List Of Celebrity Runners, Where To Watch

The London Marathon 2025 is going to be a star-studded field with Olympic and Paralympic champions set to feature in the race.

A record 56,000 mass participants will run in the 45th edition of the race and is set to be one of the most inclusive yet, with over 1,500 entrants with a disability.

Tamirat Tola and Sifan Hassan, Marcel Hug and Catherine Debrunner have been confirmed in the entry list for the event on Sunday, 27 April.

Eliud Kipchoge, the fastest men’s marathoner alive, will also return to the course eyeing for his fifth title on the course. He will be joined by former women’s world record holder Tigst Assefa.

London Marathon 2025: Course

The London Marathon kick starts in Greenwich and takes runners past some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the London Eye, and Big Ben, before finishing on the iconic Mall near Buckingham Palace.

London Marathon 2025: Start Time and Schedule

All times in BST

Races will start in staggered times from Greenwich in the morning on Sunday 27 April. Currently the UK time zone is British Summer Time, which is 1 hour ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The start times for the different races are:

08:50 – Elite wheelchair men’s and women’s races
09:05 – Elite women’s race
09:35 – Elite men’s race followed by mass start
