In real life, there are times when events do not unfold as planned. In cricket, the worst thing that can happen to your batting line-up is for it to completely fall apart. There are going to be days in one-day international cricket where the average team totals are going to be higher than ever before, but there will also be days where teams will collapse and reach the lowest totals. Zimbabwe-35/18

Zimbabwe’s ODI innings total is the lowest. Sri Lanka destroyed Zimbabwe’s batting line-up again. Another brilliant nine-over spell from Chaminda Vaas. Brendan Taylor, Elton Chigumbura, Prosper Utseya, and Alester Maregwede were his four key wickets. He was supported by Dilhara Fernando and Farveez Mahroof, who took 3 and 2 wickets, respectively.

U.S.A. – 35/12

One of the lowest cricket scores ever was scored in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2. Sandeep Lamichhane and S. Bhari bowled through the USA’s batting order.

Except for starter X Marshall, all other batters were out in single digits as the USA was bowled out for 35 runs. For his six for 16 in six overs, Sandeep Lamichhane was named player of the match. In response, Nepal scored 5.2 overs. ODI history’s second-lowest inning total is 35 runs by the USA.

In 18 overs, Zimbabwe was defeated by 35 runs. D Ebrahim scored 7 off 10 balls to lead the scoring. In 9.2 overs, Sri Lanka reached the target.

Canada – 36/18.4

During the 18th game of the 2003 ICC World Cup, Sri Lanka completely dismantled Canada’s batting order. Canada was dismissed in 18.4 overs for just 36 runs because of the coordinated efforts of the bowlers. An incredible opening spell from Chaminda Vaas and R. Nissanka sent back half the opposition in the first 10 overs of the inning. From then on, it was inevitable. Canada scored 36 runs in an ODI, which is the third-lowest score ever.

Zimbabwe-38/15.4

At the beginning of the 2000s, Zimbabwe seemed to be off to a good start. But in the first match of the 2001 Triangular Series, Chaminda Vaas made fun of the batting team by taking eight wickets for only 19 runs in eight overs. So, Zimbabwe lost with only 38 runs after 15.4 overs. Carlisle, the skipper, was at the crease for a little while before he was out for 16 after 35 balls. All of the other batsmen left with fewer than 10 runs. In 4.2 overs, Sri Lanka got the score.

Sri Lanka-43/20.1

Sri Lanka’s fifth-lowest inning total in ODI cricket history is interesting. South Africa bowled Sri Lanka out for 43 runs with a great performance.

South Africa scored 301 runs in 50 overs, thanks to Hashim Amla’s brilliant century. Hashim Amla made 112 runs in 128 balls. Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers helped him well with 72 and 52, respectively.

In reply, South African bowlers bowled Sri Lanka out for 43 runs. Morne Morkel’s opening spell was outstanding. He dismissed Upul Tharanga for 0 and Kumar Sangakkara for 4. Sri Lanka was all out in 20 overs afterward as wickets fell like a pack of cards. Kulasekara scored 19 off 46 balls. Lonwabo Tsotsobe took 3 for 19 in 6 overs, and Morne Morkel took 4 for 10 in 6 overs.
