Indonesia’s Alwi Farhan and China’s Chen Yufei clinched the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively at Macau Open 2025.
Farhan defeated Justin Hoh of Malaysia 21-15, 21-5 on Sunday at the Macau East Asian Games Dome in Macau.
On the other hand, Yufei overcame Line Christophersen of Denmark 21-17, 21-17 to win the women’s singles crown.
In the Women’s Doubles, Hsieh Pei Shan and Hung En-Tzu of Chinese Taipei secured the champions, while Malaysia’s Janaidi Arif and Roy King Yap won the men’s doubles title in the tournament.
Hsieh Pei Shan and Hung En-Tzu defeated Kaho Osawa and Mai Tanabe of Japan 21-18, 21-12 in the Final of the tournament.
The Danish duo Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje emerged victorious in the Mixed Doubles. They surpassed Lai Pei Jing and Jimmy Wong 21-13, 21-16.
The 2025 edition of the tournament featured 269 shuttlers from 29 countries and territories.
Macau Open is a BWF World Tour Super 300 event. This was the nineteenth tournament of the 2025 BWF World Tour and also part of the Macau Open championships, which have been held since 2006. Overall, this was the 17th edition of Macau Open.
The tournament held in Macau is an open international championship in badminton held in Macau. In the 2002 International Badminton Federation (IBF) calendar, the first badminton tournament in Macau was held as Macau Satellite. IBF then included the tournament in the Grand Prix event in 2006, after that the tournament was categorised by the Badminton World Federation as Grand Prix Gold event in 2007.
