Casemiro received applause from Manchester United supporters on Thursday (May 25) for his outstanding performance during the 4-1 Premier League victory over Chelsea. In the sixth minute, the Brazilian midfielder gave Old Trafford the lead.
Casmeiro has been an essential member of the Red Devils since joining them at the beginning of the season. Against the Blues, the former Real Madrid player once more showed his extraordinary class. Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes (penalty), and Marcus Rashford scored goals for the Red Devils in addition to Casemiro, while Joao Felix scored a goal for the visitors.

This victory over Chelsea has put Manchester United in the third spot in the Premier League table. Arsenal and the Premier League champions, Manchester City had secured their Champions League spot earlier. Earlier Newcastle United had secured a Champions League spot with a draw against Leicester City. The Magpies will have qualified for Champions League football for the first time in 20 years. With United’s win over Chelsea, the four spots have now been filled. Liverpool will miss out on the Champions League with a 5th-place finish in the table.
