Manchester United interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol

Premier League side Manchester United are searching for a new-centre back in the summer transfer market and has listed so many options.

Manchester United are looking for a new central defender this summer. Their centre-backs namely Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe will be leaving this summer as reported by Fabrizio Romano. There are so many central defenders listed by Manchester United for next season. But the team hasn’t started talks with any of them.

Some of the names that are popping out include Villarreal’s centre-back Pau Torres, Ajax defender Jurrien Timber, Sporting Lisbon’s defender Goncalo Inacio, and many more. Now another name has been added to this list i.e. Josko Gvardiol. Gvardiol is a central defender who plays for Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

Gvardiol is just 19-year-old and his defending skills are worth a watch. He defends like an experienced centre-back, that’s why there are many clubs interested in him. Another Premier League club Chelsea FC wants the central defender (Josko Gvardiol) this summer. Chelsea is also looking for defenders as Antonio Rudiger joined Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer and Christensen joined Barcelona.

However, Manchester United are more linked to Ajax defender Jurrien Timber as new manager Erik ten Hag knows the defender very well. Timber has played under Erik ten Hag in Ajax.
