Frenkie De Jong was sent off in the game against Cadiz

English Premier League side Manchester United have reached full agreement with the La Liga side FC Barcelona to sign their midfielder Frenkie de Jong on Thursday, 14th July. Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that the clubs have reached all the agreements required to sign Frenkie.

But the deal between the clubs is still not done as Manchester United still need to agree personal terms with the player (Frenkie de Jong). Everything is now in the hands of Frenkie de Jong. As of now, the deal between Barcelona and Man United is not imminent. It can be collapsed if Frenkie continues to stay at Barcelona. As per reports, the Dutch midfielder doesn’t want to leave Barcelona, but the situation is really complicated.

Frenkie will have to lower down his wages if he wants to stay at Barcelona and the player is not ready to do that (as reported by Fabrizio Romano). Frenkie de Jong is Erik ten Hag’s (Manchester United’s manager) priority signing and wanted United to go for him. This transfer saga is going too long as it is going on since the start of the summer transfer window.
