Manchester United Vs Manchester City
No matter what the color of Manchester is, the derby will be an exciting watch for the football fanatics. Both the teams are suffering at the points table from their usual standards.
After winning four straight Premier league titles, Manchester City this season sit at the 5th position and United have carved a new low in their history as they currently stand at the 13rd place.
Man City have not been able to recover in their season
While City started the season with a bang, Manchester United have been bland since day 1. When the Premier league started, it looked like City would conquer yet another title after they obliterated their opponents but after Rodri’s injury, the season changed for Pep Guardiola’s men. It looked like a Jenga masterclass that just fell apart after taking out the Rodri piece. Since that day, Man City have not been able to recover in their season.

Manchester United have just been abysmal all season, The first few months under Erik Ten Hag were a total bust as they were not able to perform at par with the competition. This standard play saw Ten Hag being sacked in the middle of the season, leading to the ex-Porto manager Ruben Amorim’s appointment.
No change has occurred even after Amorim’s arrival
Amorim has been a difficult case to analyse. It is understood that he has a squad that does not have the players who can play his style of football but is keen on playing intense football with players running up and down the pitch for most parts of the game. His approach looks aesthetic but his application lacks in many ways. This stubbornness has cost him matches and points that Manchester United are yearning for. He can only be judged next season when he can offload the extra players and bring in the players he wants to. But seeing Manchester United this season, it can be concluded that no change has occurred even after Amorim’s arrival.
