Manjeet Dahiya has been ruled out of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12), Jaipur Pink Panthers announced on Sunday. The development comes as a major blow to the two-time PKL champion team ahead of its campaign opener.
The raider will unfortunately be a out of action due to injury.
“Regretfully, Manjeet Dahiya will not be able to be a part of the Jaipur Pink Panthers for this season. We wish Manjeet a speedy recovery and wish him all the best for the future,” the franchise said in a statement, two days before its campaign opener against Patna Pirates.
Manjeet Dahiya had joined the Panthers at this year’s player auction as he was signed for Rs. 40 lakhs.
Last season, Manjeet played for U Mumba and racked up 107 points in the campaign which saw the team finish fifth after the regular league stage.
Manjeet’s absence will be felt at Jaipur Pink Panthers’ raiding unit as they lack an established name in offense to carry the team the way Arjun Deshwal- who joined Tamil Thalaivas this season- did for them.
