Manny Pacquiao, perhaps the most legendary figure in boxing, is taking on a new venture beyond the ring with an aggressive rollout of his promotion company in the United States. With the formal introduction of Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP), the retired eight-division world champion is determined to capture the next great stars in boxing.
Manny Pacquiao Promotions Enters the U.S.
Manny Pacquiao Promotions was previously founded in 2006 as MP Promotions but now carries the name Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP). The new venture is a bold entry into the American boxing scene to provide new opportunities to up-and-coming and veteran fighters.
In a press release, the newly expanded venture was referred to as “an ambitious new project aimed at reshaping the future of the sport he helped define.”
Pacquiao’s Vision: Giving Back to the Sport
Manny Pacquiao, 46, is now turning attention away from ring warrior to mentor and promoter. Having battled and emerged victorious in some of the most legendary fights in American boxing history, Pacquiao declares he’s prepared to assist today’s boxers with their own defining moments.
“It is an honour to bring Manny Pacquiao Promotions to the U.S.,” said Pacquiao. “Some of my most unforgettable moments happened inside American rings. Now, I want to help create those same moments for today’s fighters. His vision is to raise boxing talent with top-level events and a platform that showcases both emerging prospects and established contenders.
Leadership Team Behind Manny Pacquiao Promotions
Long-time Pacquiao advisor Sean Gibbons has been appointed President of MPP. He is joined by Hollywood executive and entrepreneur Tony Cohen, who has assumed the dual position of Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of the promotion.
Cohen was bullish on the future of the company and said:
“We’ve only just launched in August 2025, and we already have two world title fights and an incredible fight coming up in November.”
With such a quick beginning, Manny Pacquiao Promotions is well on its way to becoming a significant player in the crowded U.S. boxing market.
Still Fighting: Pacquiao’s Recent Comeback
Although his attention these days is mainly on marketing, Manny Pacquiao showed that he still has some ammunition left in the tank. Only two months ago, the previous champion came out of retirement after four years to battle Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight championship. The bout was a draw, but Pacquiao’s showing at the age of 46 stunned fans and analysts.
Standing at 5ft 5½ins and punching way above his natural weight, the boxing great showed once more why he is such a popular figure in the sport.
Upcoming Events and Announcements
MPP is already creating hype with several world title bouts in the pipeline. Fans can anticipate formal announcements within weeks as Pacquiao’s camp gears up to launch big events and ink top boxers.
