Marc Marquez, the six-time MotoGP World Champion, has been showcasing one of his career-best performances in the MotoGP 2025 season. Riding the Ducati GP25, Marquez has been nothing but dominant in the season, winning seven out of eight races so far and securing pole positions in each.
His performance has been smooth and effortless, and perhaps the best version of Marc Marquez we’ve seen so far. After Friday’s two practice sessions in Jerez ahead of the Spanish MotoGP, he named the “strongest” rival, and it’s none other than his own brother, Alex Marquez. He said, “At the moment, the strongest one is Alex [Marquez]. Even if he had a massive crash this afternoon, he was able to come back on the racetrack and be the fastest rider. So, an amazing performance [from] him.”
“We need to understand. Tomorrow the temperature will increase, so it makes everything more difficult especially in the Sprint race. But the main target for us will be that front row that is one of the key points for the race weekend,” he added

Marc Marquez Struggles In The Spanish MotoGP FP1
The rider himself faced difficulty in the practice races of the Spanish MotoGP. Regarding his struggles, he said, “[It was a] good day, a difficult day because the fact that we didn’t start in the best way, we lost the first half of FP1, which made it a bit more difficult. But then I was able in the afternoon the get step-by-step my rhythm. It’s true that I missed a bit the way about the setup, but then we came back, and on the last run I felt better. So, let’s see tomorrow if we chose the good direction and trying to understand what we need to be consistent and fast.”
Alex Marquez’s Flawless Run In The MotoGP 2025
Alex Marquez’s 2025 MotoGP campaign has been nothing short of spectacular and his most successful to date. Riding the Ducati GP24, he has consistently finished just behind Marc. Even in the Driver’s Standings, he stands in the second position behind his brother with 17 points, while Bagnaia trails behind him.
As Alex Marquez aims to reclaim the first place in the standings in the upcoming Spanish MotoGP, he will definitely be a “strong” rival for Marc to beat.
