Marc Marquez’s victory at the Qatar MotoGP marked a significant milestone for both him and his team, Ducati Lenovo. He claimed his first win at the Lusail International Circuit since 2015, extending his championship, which led to 123 points, solidifying his rankings at the top of the MotoGP standings. Now he’s 17 points ahead of his brother, Alex Marquez, followed by Francesco Bagnaia. The race had a dramatic start, with Marc Marquez being involved in a first-lap collision with his brother, Alex.

Despite this incident and damaging his bike, he managed to recover and eventually take the lead. The win marks a significant boost for him as his team and he shared his excitement about the same and said, “I needed to manage the front tyres, so for that reason, in the first part of the race, I was quiet. Morbidelli was going (ahead), but I predicted or I understood yesterday with the rhythms that he will be not fast in the second part of the race.

“Big surprise when Maverick overtook me. I thought it was (Pedro) Acosta because normally he is the fastest on KTM. He was super fast, but I had that margin for the end. Victory in Qatar is amazing,” he added

The race also showcased Ducati’s dominance in the sport, with both Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia securing the top two spots. Meanwhile, his brother, Alex Marquez, finished in sixth place, and the defending champion, Jorge Martin, was involved in a crash. The race marked his comeback after a long rehab from a series of injuries, but as luck would have it, he was diagnosed with six more fractures after the crash at the Qatar MotoGP.
