The wait is almost over. Marvel Rivals Season 4: Heart of the Dragon is officially launching on September 12, 2025, and fans are already excited about the new content. Developers Zhiyong and Guangguang have shared key updates in their latest breakdown video, while the trailer revealed some of the biggest additions coming to the game.

Marvel Rivals Season 4 Release Date and Time
Season 4 will arrive on Friday, September 12, 2025. While the exact launch time hasn’t been confirmed, previous updates suggest it may go live around 11:00 am UTC. Players should also expect short downtime before the update, during which the servers may be offline.
Marvel Rivals Comes to PlayStation 4
It’s now official Marvel Rivals is finally coming to PlayStation 4. After leaks hinted at it earlier, the developers confirmed that the PS4 version will release alongside Season 4. This means more players will get to experience the game, making the community larger than ever.
New Heroes in Season 4
Two new heroes are joining the roster in Season 4:
- Angela: A Vanguard hero who uses Ichors, a living fluid from angels, to form weapons like spears, shields, and dual axes. She can also fly, giving her an edge in aerial combat.
- Daredevil: While his abilities are still under wraps, his entry into the game has been confirmed. Based on the reveal, Angela will be available at launch, while Daredevil is expected later in the season.
This means players will have fresh strategies to explore with new hero combinations and team-ups.
New Map: Heart of Heavens
A new Convergence Mode map called Heart of Heavens will be released on September 25, 2025. It won’t be available at launch, but it promises to bring unique locations and gameplay elements for competitive matches.
Arcade Mode Hub Updates
Arcade Mode is getting a major upgrade with a central Arcade Hub where players can choose from different match types. Returning fan-favorite modes include:
- Clone Rumble
- Giant-Size Brain Blast
In addition, two fresh modes are being introduced:
- Free Fight: A no-rules mode where players can pick any heroes without restrictions.
- Conquest (Annihilation): A knockout-based point system for more intense battles.
With these, the full Arcade lineup now includes: Conquest, Doom Match, Conquest (Annihilation), Free Fight, Giant-Size Brain Blast, and Clone Rumble.
New Features in Season 4
Several new features are being added to improve gameplay and customization:
- Favorite Heroes: Players can now mark their most-used heroes for quick access.
- Slow Walk on PC: A new movement option for more stylish gameplay.
- Chat Customization: Change text color and use animated options for better communication.
- Global Custom VFX: Custom effects on characters will now be visible to all players (with an option to disable).
These updates give players more control and personalization over their experience.
Team-Up Abilities
Season 4 also expands on team-up powers:
- New Combo: Angela + Thor-Divine Armory
- Arcane Order now includes Magik along with Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch.
- Gamma Charge now includes Black Panther alongside Hulk and Namor.
This makes team synergy more important and gives players new ways to dominate matches.
Hero Buffs and Nerfs
Balance updates are also coming in Season 4:
Buffed Heroes: Thor, Doctor Strange, Peni Parker, Moon Knight, Blade, Scarlet Witch.
Nerfed Heroes: Emma Frost, Captain America, Squirrel Girl, Black Panther, Psylocke.
