The Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026 is treating spectators to dominant displays as Pakistan got past Scotland with ease, while South Africa defeated Tanzania in an encounter. The two matches exuded quality, class, and flair as World Cup action is heating up.
Pakistan vs Scotland: Raza and Usman Seal Comfortable Win
Pakistan’s performance in their win over Scotland was once again clinical, combining a fiery pace bowling display with a composed run chase.
Ali Raza’s Lethal Opening Spell
First blood was drawn by a Pakistan fast bowler, Ali Raza, as he shook up the opening batsmen of Scotland with his speed and change of pace. Taking two wickets in the first over, Raza left Scotland struggling right from the start of their innings. His bowling analysis read 4-37, which was the best so far.
Left-arm wrist-spinner Momin Qamar was brilliant with his economy during the middle overs, taking 3-46 and effectively disrupting crucial partnerships.
Scotland Show Resistance but Fall Short
Despite falling apart early, Scotland showed some grit. A seventh-wicket partnership of 68 meant that they were able to reach a respectable total of 187 in seam-friendly conditions in Harare.
Captain Thomas Knight scored the most with a dogged 37 from 72 balls, with late flashes from Finlay Jones and Manu Saraswat giving the team some heart. The Scotland batting side struggled with the pace and wrist spin presented by the Pakistani bowling attack throughout the innings and got bowled out in the 49th over.
Men’s Under-19 World Cup: Usman Khan Anchors Pakistan’s Chase
Chasing 188, Pakistan were briefly tested as Scotland’s seamers found movement with the new ball. Ollie Jones struck twice inside the first 12 overs to offer some hope.
That resistance evaporated once Usman Khan took over with a classy 75, full of poise and shot selection. He found ample support from Ahmed Hussain as the two combined to share a match-sealing 111-run stand. Pakistan attained the target with six wickets in hand, completing the chase in the 44th over.
Men’s Under-19 World Cup: South Africa Crush Tanzania
In the city of Windhoek, one of the most impressive displays in the Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup was put forth by South Africa against Tanzania.
Bulbulia, Rowles smash 397 in South Africa
However, with Tanzania off to such a positive start, lowering South Africa to 93/2, Muhammed Bulbulia and Jason Rowles took charge of the game with their knock, pulling off a massive 201-run partnership off 176 balls. Jason Rowles scored 125 from just 101 deliveries*, including five sixes and ten fours.
Muhammed Bulbulia scored a fluent knock of 108 off 108 deliveries, adorned with ten fours. Paul James provided the finishing touches with a scintillating knock of 46 off 18 balls to take South Africa to 397-5.
Men’s Under-19 World Cup: South Africa Bowlers Run Riot
Tanzania’s pursuit never managed to gather steam. South Africa struck in the second over and started to take wickets at intervals. All five bowlers chipped in to combine and restrict Tanzania to a meager total of 68 runs.
This excellent all-round performance was capped off by Rowles taking 2 for 14 with his left-arm spin bowling, while Bayanda Majola took 2 for 6.
