Meanwhile, Danielle Collins is the defending champion in the women’s singles and also among top seeds. Top players like Novak Djokovic and the recent tennis sensation, Mirra Andreeva, will be participating in the Miami Open 2025, so let’s take a look at the top players to watch out for in both categories.
Men’s Singles
Jack Draper
Jack Draper is a British tennis player who recently made it to the headlines by winning the Indian Wells Open 2025. This was also his first ATP Masters 1000 victory, following which he broke into the Top 10 ATP rankings for the first time as he reigns on World Number 7. He claimed the title by defeating Holger Rune with a smashing score of 6-2, 6-2. Even though his record has not been very good at the Miami Open, he will definitely eye the victory this year to extend his winning streak.
Carlos Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz is among the top seeds at the Miami Open 2025 season. He is a promising Spanish tennis player who is currently the World Number 3. He has won a significant number of titles in his career, including four grand slams and five Masters 1000 titles. He has also won 17 ATP Tour-level singles titles.
The now 21-year-old tennis champion made history at the Miami Open 2022 edition by becoming the youngest-ever champion in the history of the tournament at the age of 18. Given his current form and his aim for redemption after his semifinal exit in the last season, he is definitely a key player to watch out for.

Mirra Andreeva
Mirra Andreeva is a young tennis sensation due to her outstanding back-to-back performance in the 2025 season. She won the Dubai Tennis Championship earlier this year and extended her winning streak by winning the Indian Wells Open recently, which makes her the youngest player to win back-to-back WTA 1000 titles since 1997. She will be appearing in the Miami Open for the first time and is seeded on the 11th. She will be aiming to complete the “Sunshine Double” by winning both the Indian Wells and the Miami Open in the same year.
Aryna Sabalenka
Aryna Sabalenka is the current World Number 1 who is in great form this season. She reached the finals of the Indian Wells Open but lost to Mirra Andreeva, so she will be coming in for a revenge win against Andreeva at the Miami Open 2025.
