A delightful victory by Miomir Kecmanovic on defeating his strong competitor, Daniel Evans. Kecmanovic has now made it to the Quarterfinals of Japan Open by saving six match points. The match took place on 06th of October 2022.
According to reports, it was a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(4) victory, where Miomir managed to score 0/40 while Evans serving at 5-4 in the third set of the match. However, at a time Kecmanovic seems to notice a match point of his own, go begging on return at 6-5, prior to closing out the tie-break and achieving its final four points.
With lots of efforts and determination, the player seemed to provide a difficult competition to Daniel Evans. He further talked about the shots that he managed to hit. Miomir stated that the tweener which he was able to hit down match point at Ad-in, it was for the first time he could pull of the circus shot. As said by him, this first shot was a great achievement in his entire career.
He said,” “It was amazing, It’s the first time I ever made that shot in a match.” He shared his feelings over the big achievement and said, “I’m beyond happy that I was able to do it.” Miomir, in brief has shared his experience of the match. He mentioned that after the initial sets, it was a tough competition for him specially during the third set but, with his efforts he managed to stick around, play and win the match.
He stated, “I had a lot of ups and downs, especially in the third set, being up 4-1,” Kecmanovic reflected. “Somehow I managed to stay in, and thankfully I’m still here.” Moreover, this Serbian Tennis player will be more likely to compete the American player, Frances Tiafoe in the upcoming match. The American player, Tiafoe has recently knocked out Bernabe Zapata Miralles in the opening match held at Ariake Colosseum.
