This article contains the list of four overseas players who can start for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026
IPL 2026 is just a few days away, and all ten teams will bank on their players, especially the overseas ones, to put their best foot forward on the field of play to come out on the right side of the result in most of the games.
Let’s talk about four overseas players who can start for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026
Pathum Nissanka
The first name on this list of overseas players who can start for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026 belongs to Pathum Nissanka, a promising player from the neighbouring nation of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan opening batter had set a base price of Rs 75 lakh for the IPL 2026 auction. The Delhi Capitals acquired his services for Rs 4 crore—a move that proved to be a major milestone in his career.
The Form
If we talk about Nissanka’s recent form in the 2026 T20 World Cup, Pathum Nissanka scored a century for Sri Lanka against Australia. He remained unbeaten, scoring 100 runs off 52 balls. Powered by his century, Sri Lanka successfully chased down the target of 182 runs with 12 balls to spare.
Ben Duckett
England’s left-handed top-order batter, Ben Duckett, is set to feature in IPL 2026 and is one of the overseas players who can start for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026. The Delhi Capitals had secured his services for Rs 2 crore during last year’s IPL auction. Duckett is renowned for his aggressive batting style and his ability to score runs at a rapid pace.
The Exploits
Although Duckett is yet to make his debut in IPL, the left-hander has proved his credentials in T20I cricket, which was evident during his innings in the final T20I of the three-match series against West Indies last year. Opening the innings, the English batter notched up a half-century in just 20 balls. With this feat, he also achieved a significant milestone by becoming the joint-fourth fastest batter to score a half-century for England in T20 International cricket.

Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc has long been regarded as one of the world’s most lethal bowlers and is among the players who can start for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026.
The Spell
One of his match-winning performances for Delhi Capitals was when he took five wickets in a spell of 3.4 overs. Starc dismantled Hyderabad’s top order, which was packed with explosive batters. Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, and Nitish Reddy had no answer to Starc’s bowling. Subsequently, in his final spell, he dismissed Mulder and Harshal Patel to bring SRH’s innings to a close.
David Miller
David Miller might also be among the overseas players who can start for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026. DC will be the fourth franchise that Miller will be a part of in the IPL.
The Performance
Some of Miller’s notworthy performance in the league include the one he delivered in the 2013 season. During that particular season, he amassed 418 runs at a superb batting average of 59.71 and an explosive strike rate of 164.56.
He also scored a century in one of the matches during this season. While chasing a mammoth target of 191 runs against RCB, Miller played an innings of 101 runs off just 38 balls. This innings came at a crucial juncture when Punjab had already lost their early wickets for a low score. This remains Miller’s highest score in the IPL to date.
