Veteran India pacer Mohammed Shami showcased his class with a brilliant five-wicket haul to lead Bengal to a comprehensive 141-run victory over Gujarat in the latest round of domestic cricket fixtures.

Chasing 326 for victory, Gujarat looked comfortable at 153 for 3 before Shami ripped through the lower order, bowling them out for 185. Despite Urvil Patel’s fighting century, Shami’s precision and pace proved too hot to handle.

All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed also shone for Bengal, claiming nine wickets in the match and contributing a handy 22 runs, earning him the Player of the Match award.
