The MotoGP 2025 season is in full swing right now, and the Marquez brothers are once again the center of attention. Marz Marquez, riding for Ducati, has delivered a dominant performance so far, winning three out of the first five Grand Prix and all five Sprint races. Meanwhile, his brother Alex Marquez claimed a stunning victory at the previous grand prix at Jerez, leading the MotoGP Riders Championship standings, keeping the Marquez name at the top.

Emilio Alzamora, former long-time manager of the Marquez brothers, believed the MotoGP Riders Championship is destined to return to the Marquez household this year, too. Speaking to the media, he said, “It’s a dream come true. I was with them for a long time, and I wish them well. To see Marc dominate, set the time on his own, without needing a slipstream, to race like he’s doing, and after everything that’s happened to him, it’s incredible. He’s a hard worker, humble, takes risks, and has values that make him unique.”

He praised Alex’s steady growth and mentioned, “Similarly, we followed Alex from the beginning. We had plans for him, and I always knew he was a diesel and that, when he’d blossomed, he’d be very competitive. I’m also very happy to have seen him triumph in Jerez. He’s an example.”

However, Alzamora also acknowledged the unpredictability of the MotoGP 2025 but still thinks the crown will end up with Marquez. He said, “I think the crown will end up with Marquez. Who’ll make it, I don’t know, because the season is very long. There are twenty-two races now, but there are actually forty-four with the Sprints, and the MotoGP is quite demanding, so you have to be cautious. There are injuries and other variables, but I think they’re both very strong. To date, they’re one step ahead of the competition, and they’ll have to continue like that.”

“When we separated, we talked and understood that, together, we gave it our all. That’s history talking, with the ten titles we won. Alex will prove his worth in Ducati. I’m convinced of it. And Marc, with patience, will return to what he was before. If he wins another World Championship, I’ll be overjoyed. Marc’s real rival is himself. But even certain mistakes weigh heavily. But when you aspire to become world champion, you need to be the fastest and take risks. But it’s good that it’s happening at the beginning of the World Championship,” he added.

With both Marquez brothers in top form and leading the MotoGP Riders Championship, the 2025 title seems to be set to return to Marquez’s house once again.
