T20 World Cup 2024: The Ireland cricket team has been making a lot of news off lately, all thanks to their recent performances and brilliant form. However, this time they have caught the attention of the world media for another reason.

On June 2nd, ahead of the much anticipated IND vs IRE match, the Ireland cricket team unveiled its jersey for the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024. But what stole the limelight was the logo of the official sponsor that was featured on the jersey of Ireland players — Nandini.

Ireland’s Playing Jersey For T20 World Cup 2024 Features Karnataka Dairy Company Nandini’s Logo

The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), known for its Nandini brand of dairy products is the official sponsor for the Ireland cricket team’s jersey for the T20 World Cup 2024. The logo of the Nandini company is displayed on the leading arms of their team’s playing shirts, training jerseys, and caps.

Not just this, KMF is also sponsoring the Scotland cricket team.

Andrew May, the CFO of the Ireland cricket team, expressed his happiness over their new partnership with KMF. He said:

“Cricket Ireland is delighted to welcome Karnataka Milk Federation as a new partner and is pleased to announce Nandini as the official sponsor of Ireland Men’s team at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.”

“To have such a prestigious brand Backing Green is a boost to Irish cricket as a whole, as the association raises the profile of our game at the highest levels.”

“We would like to thank Mr MK Jagadish and the team from KMF for their support and look forward to working them over coming weeks and months.”

MK Jagdish, the Managing Director of KMF company, also expressed his excitement and opened up on their new partnership with the Ireland cricket team. He highlighted the global expansion of Nandini and it’s commitment to quality. He said:

“As the second largest dairy cooperative brand in India, we are constantly striving to grow and reinforce our commitment to providing nutritious and quality dairy products both in India and internationally.”

“Our partnership with the Ireland team will see the Nandini logo in Kannada on the leading arm of the Ireland Jersey and is a very proud moment for us. We wish Ireland all the best for their World Cup Campaign.”

Ireland will play 5 games in the group stages facing India in their opening match on the 5th of June, other teams in group A include the USA, Canada, and Pakistan.

Amul Is Also Sponsoring Three Teams – the USA, Sri Lanka, And South Africa.

Notably, India’s dairy giant Amul, one of India’s iconic diary brands with a global footprint, is also sponsoring teams in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Last month, Sri Lanka announced Amul as their sponsor for the marquee tournament.

“Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) wishes to announce the appointment of Amul, a leading Indian milk producer with international presence, as the ‘Official Sponsor’ of the Sri Lanka Men’s Team for the duration of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024,” Sri Lanka said in a statement.

Apart from this, Amul is also sponsoring the USA and South African cricket teams.

This isn’t the first time that Amul is sponsoring or collaborating with the teams during the ICC tournaments. Previously, Amul collaborated with the New Zealand and the Netherlands national sides for the 2017 Champions Trophy and 2011 Cricket World Cup, respectively.

Apart from this, Amul was one of the sponsors of the Women’s Premier League in its inaugural edition.

Amul was also one of the main sponsors of the Afghanistan cricket team during the ODI World Cup in India last year.

With Amul sponsoring the USA, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, now five teams who are participating in the T20 World Cup 2024 are getting their sponsorship from Indian companies. India is leading the way!
